With BIS 3.0 just around the corner for North America out friends at BBNews.pl let us know about some details for BIS 3.1 and 3.2. We had heard a little about BIS 3.1 before which mentioned that it would include 2 way calendar sync for Gmail but that looks like it was pushed off until BIS 3.2. Still RIM is working on getting 2 way email read/unread sync first so I doubt calendar sync is a priority.
From the details:
v3.1 (June 2010)
- Two-way contact (address book) sync with Yahoo! and Windows Live Hotmail and Sync ML (ALT-N)
- Ability to share credentials on the device for an overall easier
- User able to self delete BIS account (added security)
v3.2 (October 2010)
- Calendar sync with Yahoo! and Google
- Small business management console
What do you think? Anybody else just waiting for RIM to support full ActiveSync in BIS so we can get 2 way sync of EVERYTHING including email, calendar, notes, contacts, & tasks?

No contact synchronization for GMail and Google Apps users in version 3.1 of the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)?
Are you serious?

lame! lame! lame!
How much R&D money does it take to make BIS sync with Google??? You only made $1.9 BILLION in net income last year. sheesh! Toss a few more mill at making BIS sync with Google, another few mil at implementing a browser that doesn’t totally suck, and imagine a world where we aren’t embarrassed to say we still have blackberries.
We don’t need more 4 digit modeled bolds/storms/curves/tours/etc… We need the friggin software to not look/act like its 5 years old.
Seriously RIM, turn down the suck. This is getting painful.

You are incorrect – Google Sync for BlackBerry OS only synchronizes contacts/address book and calendar data, nothing else… Tasks/to-do and memos/notes do NOT synchronize.
Furthermore, GMail and Google Apps users do not have TWO-way synchronization of their inbox, meaning that users often have to delete messages twice!

Does anyone have any answers on BIS 3.2? I want to know if the calendar sync via BIS will allow for multiple calendars as gcal sync currently offers. I mean; my gmail account has about 4 calendars that I use and sync to my BB. Will BIS 3.2 allow for this or will it only sync my primary/default calendar?
