OOPS! I did it again. The correct version of this release is 5.0.0.411, not 5.0.0.661. Sorry! I make that mistake often!
Everything else still applies, corrected below.
MadMax, one of our favorite readers, informed us today of a new OS release for the 8900. This time it’s not a leak, it’s an official 5.0.0.411 (multilanguage) OS release via Vodafone UK. If you’re interested in giving it a try, just CLICK HERE from your desktop or notebook. No use trying to get it from your BlackBerry, you surely know that unless you’re a newbie. In which case, hi newbie! Welcome to Berry Review!
Please let us know in the comment section below if you like this release or not, and why. I want to give it a try, but I am way too busy to tinker with that today. I will probably upgrade a few days later.
Our usual warnings apply: do not download and install these updates if you don’t know what you’re doing. Incorrect procedure or just bad luck could render your BlackBerry inoperative or unstable

Don’t get too excited. The Package version is 5.0.0.661, but the OS version (the one that you are used to seeing) is 5.0.0.411.
