What? Still no FaceBook chat? Seriously, I’m sick of my iPhone friends rubbing that one in my face.

Really not Facebook chat is a completely failure and waste of our time honestly. RIM really need to get on the ball…..these incremental changes are for the birds. Can we see something we be proud of?

“Really not FaceBook chat is a completely failure and waste of our time honestly.” Based on that sentence, I’m going to assume English is not your primary language and you were trying to say that you’re not a big fan of FaceBook chat. I use FaceBook chat quite often, and considering a quick Google search for ‘BlackBerry FaceBook chat’ returns over 4,000,000 results, I’m not alone in thinking that RIM needs to add this to the FaceBook app. The part that bothers me is that this feature has been on the site for almost 2 years, and third party IM packages for the BlackBerry can already do this. My iPhone buddies have had this from the native app for over a year already.

Integrating Facebook Chat and BBM? That would be interesting.

I meant to say *no……..was that really that difficult to figure out? If you read the rest of my point you would clearly see that I was stating that RIM was missing the major features and only providing us with incremental changes…I use Facebook chat everyday actually and purchased Beejive solely for that purpose.

The difference is the iPhone app is made by Facebook.
The Blackberry app is made by Rim.

BeeJive isn’t made by FaceBook, but they managed to pull this off a year ago. I would think RIM could figure this out if a 3rd party did it…

How about adding this little feature – “Hide”? I turned the Hide on for all of the stupid Farmville, Mafia updates, et al, on my PC, via the web version of Facebook.
Unfortunately, my BlackBerry still suffers from “I need a board, for my barn!” updates, about every minute.

Add me to the list on this also… IMO if you have the app blocked from status updates on your PC this should also flow over to the BlackBerry app… for FB Chat try using BeeJive or IM+, I personally use BeeJive

+1
Hopefully this means we’ll actually be able to turn off icon notifications without changing the email address. If so, about time!

Facebook chat is pretty poor however so many of my friends use it instead of google or msn
