I don’t use Opera Mini much myself but it is useful for those occasional websites that do not play nice with the native BlackBerry browser. Opera just announced that they have promoted their Opera Mini 5 release out of beta so its now the official stable version of Opera Mini.
If you have a copy of the beta it cannot hurt to head to m.opera.com to make sure you have the latest version.

I’ve already installed and run in my 8900. Its really hard to run smoothly and lightly as my default Browser.
After 5 minutes trying this new Opera, sadly, I have to say good buy to that’s new browser’s Opera.

I’ve used version 3.x, 4.x, and 5 beta, and I’m really pleased with 5.0 final. I can’t say I use it every day, but it is a real pleasure to use. It’s the only browser I can use on my BB to do Outlook Exchange or Sharepoint.

yeah I deleted Bolt browser this am, that browser didn’t let me logging to my school website but with the new OperaMini it works awesome. Really liking it.

So slow on the 8330. I get that the 8330 is old but this new version is unusable. Going back to 4.2
I can’t wait until the HTC supersonic comes out. Enough of these awful browsers on BB’s.

i havent exactly tried it out yet. i only downloaded it so far. going to try it after work. but the 5 beta was pretty awesome compared to what bolt provided imo. so hopefully it will run nicely on my bold 9000. but i read some good review on it so far other than those with the 9700 bold which still seems pretty buggy. imma update later on my findings

Can you tell me? I added the wrong bookmark to the bookmark grid, and can’t figure out how to edit or delete these

Loaded fine on my bold 9000 but showed error at the end won’t accept only the 5.beta2 that is still in the registry no trace of the 5 final anywhere guess will stick with 5.beta2 for now

Does this one still force itself onto you as default browser? If so, I’m staying with 4.2.

So is this version BlackBerry OS-SPECIFIC? Or just another Java version that’s made to work with BlackBerry OS?

Any idea how to move a bookmark from one square to another?

The only way that I know is just to edit and replace the current one with whichever link you want at the top.

Ooh, if you have a Storm 2, don’t pass on checking this out. It’s close, real close to Safari. Zoom gestures aren’t there. Swipe, hover, and double-tap gestures work pretty well to pan, bring up link actions, zoom in and ‘frame’ columns. I’m going to wean myself off my Ipod Touch for the next few days. Send in the St. Bernards if I’m not back! =)
Cheers!
