A weekend present for BlackBerry Tour 9630 users. LouiV over @BBLeaks spotted OS 5.0.0.548 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 online. This is the latest build out there so far so its worth giving it a shot.
If you do not know how to upgrade your BlackBerry OS please start by reading this great step by step guide that Luis wrote up. NOTE: Don’t forget to delete the vendor.xml file located in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader to install it on a different carriers device.
Please confirm in the comments if this works for you!

Boy Genius is reporting that the offical OS 5.0 for Verizon Tour 9630′s will include Push To Talk capability ($5/month extra). Anyone seen that capability in this build? I don’t think any BlackBerry has ever been compatible with Verizon’s struggling PTT capability (likely due to lack of devices), having it on BlackBerry could really give it a boost. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to quick verbal chat with someone where BBM takes to long to type out a message.

This and the 9650 leak may have been the two a respondent was talking about a couple weeks ago. Never know how they get leaked into the wild!
