BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS Found Online

image WOW this is the second BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS leak in 5 days. The latest is OS brought to us by a kind member of the CrackBerry Forums. There are some rumblings about this being a “Gold Release” but leaked OS caveats still apply.

Download @ Hotfile

NOTE: Do not install this software if you do not know what you are doing. It may make your BlackBerry FUBAR or just plain angry. If you do not know how to upgrade your BlackBerry OS please start by reading this great step by step guide that Luis wrote up.  Don’t forget to delete the vendor.xml file located in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader to install it on a different carriers device.

Please confirm in the comments if this works for you! Thanks Tashanna for sending this one in!

  2. Does anyone have a mirror? it’s been removed :/

  3. I need to have a copy as well… Is there a mirror for this OS??

  4. Anyone have/found a changelog (or notice any changes for yourself) for this new OS as of yet?

    • theres never a change log for OS leaks but theres been some new changes since .536 like the lock key locks the keyboard now not the device.

      • The lock button (CALL and ALT doesnt work anymore) was introduced at the 242 build already. More annoying is that the mute button doesnt work anymore, bug introduced as per build 242 and also with build 545 still doesnt work. Also, as per build 542 the auto on/off doesnt work anymore?

        Anyone with the same experience?

Other then that no issues and great to see that this build has East Asian languages!!

  5. Thanks Luis,
I understand there isn’t a change log in general for these leaked OS releases but I meant it more conceptually than officially. I’m running and have been debating making the switch up. No horror stories with this new OS version as of yet so I think I will.
