T-Mobile No Longer Using Yahoo as Default Search
Here is some unsurprising news. Yahoo is no longer the default search engine for T-Mobile now that their year long contract is up. I don’t currently have a T-Mobile BlackBerry so I cannot confirm if they have removed the default search option on the browser Go-To screen. This really annoyed me when I had a T-Mobile 9700 since I always had to manually change the default search to Google.
Now T-Mobile has officially turned their default search back to Google. I am not sure if Google is paying T-Mobile for the honor but I doubt it. On the other hand Microsoft supposedly paid Verizon about $500 million for the default search option on all Verizon handhelds.
So anybody else glad T-Mobile dumped Yahoo search?
