  1. You want to download the following file: | 131670 KB

Unfortunately right now our servers are overloaded and we have no more download slots left for non-members. Of course you can also try again later.

Need a new link for 8900 plz 🙂

  2. Thanks to BR for always posting new OS updates but why not include a tutorial for those of us who want to install the newest OS but don’t know how to do it via download instead of official releases that go thru I’m currently runnin 5.0 version .411 for my 8900 and love it (huge improvement) and wonder if the new OS fixes some minor bugs.

  3. Will see if I can work one up this weekend

  4. So far so good new OS *464 works perfect on Bold 9000. Fixed camera buttons (on *411 was inactive) and improved speed on *464

  5. have heard no lock feature

  6. 8900: The lock key doesn’t work anymore. However if you like me never had a true icon for the “Audio Postcard” now I do, and it also does allow me to take a picture, and then gives option to add audio and send. It wants to send to a phone number, not an e-mail, which I find weird.

  7. Some browser UI upgrades. And my phone now has the internet browser service book, so I’m not manually switching between hotspot and media net

  8. My findings are that the OS seems snappier, and the lock doesn’t work unless you set a password now. I don’t mind using standby tho, and lock only if you have a password set, kinda makes sense. nothing that i’ve noticed for memory usage, it’s only been a n hour.

  9. for 8900 OS – works well for me. with bloomberg, fb, viigo. a little snappier. nothing noticeable though…

  10. memory is up and steady. A little snappier as mentioned. This am I got a white screen error while going threw emails in berrypoppup. Battery pull fixed and nothing since. Still worth a download I believe.

  11. Hey, I installed this on my Bold over the weekend. It restored my Visual Voice Mail, did not remove my BlackBerry Maps, and it seems to run faster. Finally, an OS upgrade that just works, without a lot of fuss.

  12. I guess I was too late. Anyone know of another link for the 8900 – my wife’s phone needs an update.

  13. What’s new for the 8900 in .461?

    1. Calculator UI has been updated. (not sure if I like it)
    2. Browser “Go-To” page has been updated. Now shows website Favicon for visited bookmarks, and has dedicated search box under the address box with serach options for Google, Yahoo, Live Search, Wikipedia, and

Issues I’m having with .461 and my 8900:

    1. When backing out of a SMS message in BBM 5.0.57, it takes me first to the messages application, and I have to push the back button again to go back to the main BBM screen. This is very annoying and has only happened since this upgrade. (mind you, battery pulls and reboots have been done, although I have not uninstalled/reinstalled BBM)

    2. Battery life seems to be worse (but this could be my imagination)

    3. Some speed issues and lagging I didn’t have with

Overall I like the browser upgrades, just a few small gitches need to be worked out.

  14. ANy more links for the 9000 upgrade? Been trying to do this for ages. Ran into a lot of trouble with the bell links. Thanks!

  15. Major memory leak in .461. My 8900 went 4 days (approx) without a reboot, and I was down to 11mb free!!! After a reboot it went to 80mb!
