RIM has been working hard on the eBay BlackBerry app that they are developing internally and it is slowly moving along. One of their reps convinced me to download the app at CES and I have been using it since to place losing bids on fun gadgets.
The new version upgrades the app to 1.0.0.40 from 1.0.0.38 previously. The official update verbiage is:
This version supports additional devices such as the 8520, 8230, 8350 and 8530 models to widen our beta user base. Minor usability issues and some visual fixes were addressed. Passwords with special characters (e.g. $ & *) are supported. The new version will support 9700, 9520, 9550 and 9530 users shortly.
Sadly the app can still only be found in the BlackBerry App World Test Center category…

Maybe it’s only available for ebay.com, not ebay.co.uk. Anyone else see it from a UK network. (I’m also with TM-UK)

Since I upgraded my Tour to 5.0.0.419 (leaked and official), the ebay app won’t work and/or can’t be found for my device to download.

I found a link which re-directs to app world, however there is no option to download as it states it is for US only. Also it is available to what seems for older models. I am in uk on T-mobile too, seems like we’re having to wait!
