We met some of the team behind Poynt here at CES and they left me impressed. Their latest update added a nice new carousel look for the free application along with a cool new homescreen weather option. You can now have it show you your local weather in the background along with providing a 5 day forecast. I am working on getting them to support hourly forecasts too.
Also in this update they have expanded the Poynt services into Italy, France, and Spain.They also showed off some cool movie ticket purchasing options along with gas price search. Poynt currently has almost 2 million active users and they even had a cool dashboard showing at their booth of all the Poynt users and what device they used for their last search.

I have a Storm2. When I click on Poynt’s “About” function, ishows version 1.5.2.36. Is 1.3.1.29 really a newer version?

No it won’t work. It is for Germany/USA/Canada. Maybe poynt will work on this in the future.

For others countries (not supported right now) is available only weather
Maybe in future they add more services for others countries.
