Kindle BlackBerry App Officially Coming Soon

Amazon has put up a new page on their site with some previews of the upcoming Kindle app for BlackBerry. As we mentioned before Amazon already owns Mobipocket which is the most popular BlackBerry eBook app so they already have one foot in the door. Still this new Kindle app looks promising and will open up a whole new library of content for your BlackBerry. What I don’t understand is why Amazon keeps on trying to push these apps as if they are in addition to owning a Kindle instead of replacing one…

  1. Will we be able to access and read locally stored PDF documents with this Kindle for BB version as well?

  2. Yay, it’s only available to “US Customers” and if the Kindle itself is anything to go by, we should the application made available in, oh I don’t know… Three years or more?
