The folks over at OtterBox have finally released the Defender Case for the new 9700 Bold. From the pictures, it looks very sweet with a ribbed design on the back and a different color on the camera button.
With a starting price of $49.95 (+ del) it is not the cheapest case on the market but it it takes the path of previous Defender cases then it will easily be one of the best.

Looks nice, feels nice, but doesn’t hold the phone securely enough in the holder for any kind of person who is tough on the phones and cases. Mine has fallen out several times on the job.

I would have to totally agree with you on this point. The holster is not in the same league as the previous Defender series cases. The clip in system is a lot weaker.
