Mike Kirkup did us a solid and compiled a list of their development community accomplishments for 2009 on the official RIM developer blog. The list is impressive and includes one bit of information I had never heard along with some I had forgotten.
Here are some of the ones I found to be worthy of note:
- There are now over 200,000 registered BlackBerry Developers which is double what RIM had last year
- Launched BlackBerry App World, Developer Blog, Developer Issue Tracker
- Launch of quite a few developer tools and plugins including Eclipse, Visual Studio, Widgets, and Theme Studio
Kudos to RIM on the accomplishments especially doubling the developer community. I hope that translates into loads of quality applications coming in 2010. There is quite a bit more at this link but I wanted to know what you thought RIM should have on their list in 2010 or what should have been on the 2009 list… Let us know!
