Canadian Carriers Bicker Like School Children

sticking_out Just when AT&T and Verizon decided to bury the hatchet our friendly carriers north of the border and just getting started. Phoenix let me know that Canada no longer has a “Most reliable network.” A British Colombia court ruled that Bell Mobility can no longer claim to be the “Most” reliable. This is right after Rogers was sued for making the same exact claim so they sued Bell so that nobody could claim to be the most reliable.

My favorite quote is from Bell spokeswoman Claire Fiset:

"With that judgment today, it means no wireless network in Canada can make a most reliable claim in Canada right now," she said. "So if we can’t claim it, nobody can."

You really have to head to this link and read the full details at the Canadian Press. Its a real laugh and makes you wonder if there are adults or children running the Canadian carriers…

  1. The marketing incompetence in the “Great White North” really is stunning. It amazes me that Rogers with their near monopoly on GSM didn’t use the opportunity to crush Telus and Bell, or at the least relegate them to CDMA obscurity.
