Pageonce Announces One Million Registered Users and $10M in Funding
Former director and Bebo executive Jim Scheinman Joins as COO

PALO ALTO, CA — December 10, 2009 —Pageonce, the leading personal assistant in mobile finance and travel, celebrated its one millionth registered user today and announced it closed a $6.5M in Series A funding.  The round was led by the leading Israeli Venture firm Pitango Venture Capital and brings the total raised to date to $10M. Pitango Partner Eitan Bek will join Pageonce’s board of directors.  Pageonce’s award-winning flagship product, Personal Assistant, is the leading personal finance and travel application on the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Windows platforms, with more than one million registered users through its cross platform applications.  Pageonce has developed a service that gives consumers one-touch access to their essential personal information, from bank accounts to travel itineraries.
With only a customer’s username and password, Pageonce "automagically" presents essential personal information in a simple to read format on a smartphone.  Its key differentiator is a proprietary technology platform, which enables the company to securely access and aggregate data from various password protected sources. Pageonce members enter their information only once and never need to manually enter account numbers, due dates or other personal information.  Pageonce members are increasingly becoming reliant on their Pageonce alerts to tell them about any potential fraudulent spending on their credit cards, upcoming bills, or any changes in their flight arrival or departure times.
"One million registered users is a big milestone for us, and it clearly shows we are the leader in mobile personal finance management," said Guy Goldstein, CEO of Pageonce.  "Our goal is to own the personal information management category on the mobile platform.  We are thrilled to have Pitango as a great partner for us as they understand the potential of the market we’re addressing and they have been big believers in the mobile space since the beginning."
"Pitango identified the mobile web as a new fast growing industry, and we are excited to be working with Pageonce as a leader in this space," says Eitan Bek, a partner at Pitango. "Pageonce has the right management team and a unique proposition to build a big company.  We have extensive experience in working with companies that have their technology team based in Israel and look forward to helping Pageonce become a household consumer name."
Pageonce’s current cross-platform products are all offered for free and a premium ad-free version. The Personal Assistant is currently #1 in the Android app store and Blackberry app store, and has been in the top 20 in the iPhone store for over a year:
Personal Assistant: Pageonce’s award-winning flagship product provides one touch access to all essential personal information and also provides updates and reminders to users, such as an upcoming due date for an important bill. More than one million users have already created profiles and set up personal information including bank and credit card accounts, utilities, frequent flyer programs and more.
Mobile Minute Tracker: Equalizing the fear of a massive mobile bill, the acclaimed Mobile Minute Tracker is the easiest way for consumers to keep track of their wireless & text usage and upcoming bills.
Pageonce also announced that Jim Scheinman has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer.  Scheinman was previously Bebo’s first employee and a member of the board of directors, where he played a critical role in its sale to AOL for $850M. In his role at Pageonce, Scheinman will be responsible for overseeing business strategy, business development, sales and marketing.  Mark Goines, former GM of Quicken/Intuit and early investor and board member of Mint, also joined Pageonce as an investor and advisor.
"I’m excited about the incredible growth of Pageonce and the potential of the smartphone market which is the future of computing," said Scheinman. "It reminds me of the early days of the Internet where great companies like Yahoo, eBay and Google were forming.  There will be similar growth opportunities in this nascent industry and Pageonce is well positioned to remain one of the leaders as the industry matures."
