You don’t need a fancy name like Flip,Vado, or Zi6 to be the best. Just look at the DXG-125VR 720 HD Camcorder. The 125VR has a great splash-resistant design and has a rubber hand-grip that makes it easy to hold even when wet. Also because of the great rubber body you wont cringe if you drop it. Just like most portable video cams this one is super easy to use. You see that big red button in the center? That means record 🙂
I had a lot of fun testing this video camera. I took it with me to Game 6 of the 2009 World Series at Yankee Stadium. On one side is an output for USB 2.0 and HDMI and on the other side is the battery, SD slot, and headphones jack. All of them under are water resistant covers. A great thing is you are not limited to the 2BG or 4GB like other companies. It holds up to an 8GB SDHC card, and if you are crazy like me have another 8GB stowed away in the case. Oh, and btw I love the case. This comes with a perfect not too soft not too hard silver case. Now I want to contact DXG to get a case for my digital camera. Included is a Li-ion Battery (NP-40),Camera Pouch, Headset, USB/AV Cable, HDMI Cable, Charger/Cord, CD and software. The 125VR is really small. It’s 2.52″ (W) x 0.88″ (D) x 4.13″ (H) and without the battery weighs 3 oz. The LCD screen is 2 inches with 2x digital zoom and 3MP on stills. Last but not least you can also use the device as a MP3 player.

As our phones get more advance we eventually will be saying this for just about everything. A standard phone lately has become an all in one device. It’s equipped with a camera, video recorder, video games, etc. However phones as of now are not replacing other electronics but giving us access to them in emergency situations. For example, the BlackBerry video camera is great for when you don’t have anything else. You would most likely prefer HD video compared to the grainy output the BlackBerry puts out.
