I am not into calorie counting myself but this app looks interesting. The New York Weight Loss Center released a free BlackBerry Weight Loss Assistant application that lets you lookup food nutritional and caloric information on your BlackBerry. The cool part is that it does not need a data connection since the information is stored on your device.
I cant really talk to how good or useful the application is but it might be worth a shot if this is information you need on the go. Check it out at this link (OTA Link) and let us know if it is any good!

I went to the site from my BlackBerry Storm and I am unable to pick the “Submit Query” button after entering the 4 digit code. I even tried cursor mode. If someone has success, please let me know how you did it. Or if there is a direct like to the download that would be even better.
Thanks!

Our apologies, the download form hadn’t been tested on the storm. We appreciate you trying – let me look into that issue and get back to you!

it worked for me, i have an 8900
i think it is a great app. i like that it is a light app and runs quickly without even a splash screen
i lookup stuff quickly and easily and sometimes use the email feature too.
i have my fonts setup kinda big though so some text is hard to see in the results screen, but the details page is where all theinfo is anyway
great job weightlossnyc

Did you also check the box agreeing to terms of use?
Can you provide any more detail on the issue so we can resolve it for you now?
Thanks

Link provided doesn’t work on Curve 8320 browser. You click to get it and it returns to the same page.

Thanks for visiting the site – after entering the code/agreeing to terms of use, the form gives you an OTA link to click, it does not push the download automatically. This link has been edited to be more obvious as it does seem not everyone is seeing it. Please let us know if still having problems, it should work on all devices

hi, please look again the link appears on the same page after you enter the code. we did add the words OTA to make it stand out more, as indeed many are not seeing it. we will have to revise the form, sorry for any trouble. everyone who i’ve responded to has confirmed this has been the solution.

Hi, sorry for any confusion
The download page is indeed dynamic page that reloads but then presents your OTA link in it, please look again. I know it’s confused a few ppl, been getting emails about that so will need to address. Please try again, thanks.

For some reason I went back and tried again and still doesn’t work. I clicked on the box(Get APP!) and nothing happens.

No I don’t see that link. I put the check in the box and put in code and can’t click on the get app button. It highlights it but can’t click it.

it’s not the button the link appears above the form
this is a great app, small footprint and fast
review is wrong, it doesn’t store the data, it just doesn’t need a bb data plan because it can also run just off wifi. i love that i can email myself results to keep my own chart of things i like to eat
