New York Times Releases free BlackBerry App
When I first heard about this I could have sworn that the New York Times already had a BlackBerry app. Turns out they only had a homescreen shortcut. The Times developed this new app in house and it looks pretty good. It is sponsored by UPS for now which probably means that they will not be charging for it in the future (hopefully).
You can find the app at www.nytimes.com/bbapp and more details at this link from your desktop.
The app downloads articles for offline reading which is nice but sadly it only supports the BlackBerry Tour, Storm, Bold, and Curve 8900. Everybody else is expected to make do with their homescreen shortcuts at mobile.nytimes.com.
