Last.FM Launches Free BlackBerry App

xjonx let us know that Last.FM has joined the mobile streaming radio fray with their own BlackBerry app. For those not familiar with Last.FM it is an internet website which claims to have over 30 million users. With this app available users have access to music from big name bands/artist to indie and smaller local artist. You can pull up artist bio, similar artist, upcoming events etc. It looks like it is available for the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900 devices in the UK and the United States and works over EDGE, Wi-Fi, or 3G. I hate when popular apps don’t wait until they have full device support before launching…

Check it out at www.last.fm/blackberry or download it from App World at this link.

Again! “Currently available in United Kingdom and United States”, now we have Slacker, Pandora & Last.FM which does’nt support others coutries. Why i cant listen internet radio (at least) over wi-fi in my coutry?! For now only Flycast is useful.

  2. Only works on ATT phones. Tried on my tmob 8900 and it does not work. No other newer Blackberrys supported, storm, tour, flip, 9700. This actually has been out for a while. It seems last.fm only cares about iphone- a limited audience.

  3. This works on my Tmo 8900. It is so awesome!

  4. last.fm/blackberry is just a link to the group, it doesn’t give option to download, just so you can try if it works or not. It forces you to download it from App World, which will not list it as compatible unless the developer states it will. I doubt that last.fm even tried to see if it works on 5.0. So we all have to send e-mails and bug them to make it compatible with 5.0.
