T-mobile-complete-flyer We mentioned T-Mobile’s interesting Complete prepaid package when it launched but we did not have all the details and some were left wanting. We dug a little bit further and got the following document from T-Mobile outlining the plan. I am not sure how amazing of a deal this plan is anymore considering the fact that the device is $299 and the only plan with web access below is $80/month but it is still pretty impressive.

Highlights include:

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 is the only BlackBerry offered currently and will cost $299
  • Devices will only be available at Best Buy and select Wal-Mart stores
  • No contract, credit check, or deposit
  • First month free

The T-Mobile Complete Pricing Plans are:

  • $50/month
    • Unlimited talk, or
    • Unlimited text + 1,000 Whenever Minutes + Unlimited Nights & Weekends and T-Mobile to T-Mobile.
  • $60/month
    • Unlimited talk + text
  • $80/month
    • Unlimited talk + text + Web

All the other majors & local carriers should follow the leader on this one… I know this would generate huge BB sales @ my employer… I hope this is a new trend others will soon follow. Nothing better than some BB love, even 4 prepay!!!

  2. I don’t see how this is a good deal. $300 up front plus $80/month (plus taxes and fees)? I guess if someone is wholly opposed to having a contract, ok, but this IS the lowest end “new” BlackBerry on the market and they want $300 for it? And no 3G and no OpenGL for cool games that are coming?

But yeah, they will sell a bunch like this.

    From my BlackBerry Storm…

  3. Has anyone tried these plans and used UMA? Tmobile told me I would need to pay 10 just to use UMA. My current plan does not have UMA service and I can still connect to make VOIP calls. Thx
