National Football Post Releases Free BlackBerry App

nfp-mobile I am not a sports fan myself but I have heard of the National Football Post before. They partnered up with Handmark to release a free BlackBerry application for Pro-Football fans. The app gives you real-time access to NFP sports content, news, and information.

NFP Mobile features:

  • Hot News and Rumors
  • Columns from NFP Experts (Matt Bowen, Jack Bechta, Robert Boland and Andrew Brandt)
  • Notes from Lombardi
  • Fantasy Football News
  • Scouting Department
  • Daily Jolt
  • Team News – featuring a customizable tab that lets users get up-to-the-minute news on all their favorite teams.

NFP Mobile content can be shared or saved via social bookmarking and social networking sites. Video will also be available soon, and users will have the ability to leave comments within the application.

You can pick up the app free at this link or read more at this link.

Why should I enter in my personal information for a credit card for an app that is “free.” Forget that!

It’s ridiculous that I have to furnish them with personal financial information for a “free” app.

    Forget that!

Yea, isn’t Handmark’s download feature seriously stupid? They make you enter credit card data even though there is no charge. Handango figured it out a long time ago and when the total is $0.00 the requirement to enter billing information is lifted.

Come on Handmark, get it fixed!

What financial information are they asking for?

You can “pay” for the $0.00 app through ATnT, Alltell, or a credit card.
