T-mobile Free visual voicemail & 9700 Now available for purchase

amyers let us know that T-mobile is now letting 9700 owners activate their visual voicemail service for free. But there is a trick to for those of you without the 9700 to add the service as well. Amyers changed the phone on his settings to 9700 and then went to services and added the visual voicemail, which I was able to do as well. A couple of weeks ago I called T-mobile about it and they told me it was going to be offered for free once the 5.0 OS was released & it looks like it should be an option once they officially release it for other devices.

I was able to add the service for free to my account but could not get it to work on my 8900 just yet, will see if eventually it starts working. Try it for yourself & see if it works.

On other news those of you who have been patiently waiting for the 9700 to arrive T-mobile just made it available online for purchase you can go to this link and place your order.

From the looks of it the 9700 can be bought for $199.99 on a new two year contract or contract renewal, or buy it right out at $449.99. Let us know if you plan on getting one.

  5. The visual voicemail isnt working for me. I have a curve 8900 and I went to mytmobile and changed my device to the bold 9700. Then I went to services and turned visual voicemail on. I then did a battery pull and clicked on the icon and tried to enable it and it still says unable to activate. Am I missing a step??
