Sorry guys for duplicating Luis’s article. This was supposed to go up last night but for some reason my laptop just finished publishing it when I opened it this morning. Jerry let us know that T-Mobile has put up the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on their website for sale. The rumor was that it was going to launch the 16th and here it is!. The funny part is that somebody at T-Mobile screwed up and used a picture of an Curve 8900 in the description…
Check out the phone on T-Mobile’s site at this link. The phone is $199.99 with an Even More plan and $449.99 with an Even More Plus plan. I am still trying to figure out the difference between those two but I think the Plus is prepaid…
I HIGHLY recommend the Bold 9700! I have been using it on T-Mobile for over a week now and the battery life is amazing along with a rock solid OS! RIM really got it right this time.
On the other side of the fence we have yet to see the 9700 pop up on the AT&T website…

The Even More Plus is without a contract, so you’re paying the full retail price for the phone. The upside to that is you can split the payments over 20 months if you want to, and you aren’t locked into anything.

Nice that is a pretty good deal. Kind of like europe. I wonder if it is taking off…

Tough luck for me! I am not eligible for full discount from T-Mobile as I had already extended my contract with them This Feb when 8900 Javelin came out and I grabbed that one! With partial upgrade it comes out to $419.99 for 2 year contract. I have a 2nd line which is fully upgradeable which will cost me $199.99 for the 9700 Bold, but no use as I would be forced to take BIS on the 2nd line for 22 months, which is insane. So its better of me getting an Unlocked Phone from MobileCityOnline or someone else where they are almost selling close to $449.99. Duh!

Be careful when you get an unlocked one, because the TMobile verison is different than others. It uses a different frequency for WiFi calling (HotSpot@Home)
