I think the smartphones "outsmart" them selfs!

Maybe it's time go back to just a good old phone and use the good old Palm Handheld. Wait till they (RIM,ATA&T,APPS-GUYS) figure it out.
I'm tired of spending so much time in updating. Every time something in a APP is lost and a new bug shows up.

Kind of odd that AT&T pushes out all the Bold 4.6 updates over a year after they really needed it...

Hah! Yeah, there's a lot of stuff like that happens. They ship OS 5.0 on the Storm2 and still include BBM 4.7. Same with the official 5.0 for the Storm, you install it and you're kept at BBM 4.7.

But it's not just RIM's own apps. DocsToGo comes withe the 5.0 for Storm and Storm2 but it's an older version too, so off you go doing another upgrade.

RIM should fix the issue with updating the OS and having to downgrade/remove the new BBM 5.0... it should know that the version of BBM that I have installed is a newer build than the one on the OS... GRRRRR....

Does anyone know what this release fixes/patches? I asked our At&t rep but they said they stopped publishing release notes. I really don't understand this at all. Obviously, they are posting these updates because there is some fixes but apparently no one knows at the company (at&t) that approves and tests these software releases. Crazy!!

So, is the battery pull, battery drain issue still there in this release? it is fixed in OS 5.0 but it's more battery draining when using the phone (games, videos, music..etc).

Is it hard to get a good release???

Well, carriers are proceeding at snail speed to get OS releases out for the browser bug a month ago. Few BlackBerry are yet patched officially. Pretty sad RIM.
