Xobni for BlackBerry Coming Soon! Gonna Rock Our World?

Xobni just stood up at the BlackBerry Developer Conference and came out with an impressive showing of their application. They stated that 50% of their desktop plugin users are BlackBerry users. The also said that an average user has 500 contacts and the contact information is incorrect for over 50% of those contacts.

The Xobni application is coming soon but it really is going to shake up the contact management field with features like:

  • Show you your conversation history with SMS, email, and phone with a contact
  • Grab contact information from emails and put it into your contact list
  • Calendar integration will pull in calendar events from emails
  • It will even show you where xobni found the contact information in the email if you need to find out later.
  • Xobni will also rank your contacts and show the most used on top.
  • One click to call, email, or sms
  • Copy and paste your available calendar times into an email

Pretty impressive. Check out the screenshots below of their demo! You can even find the email addresses of some RIM employees…

  1. Awesome! I hope the don’t have the pricey tag to its app!

  2. I said that our research shows that 30% of address book data is either out-of-date or missing all together. The magic of Xobni is that you don’t have to do any maintenance…it is far richer data (not just contact, but social network and communication history, etc)…and it is continuously updated by Xobni using all the data we can find in your inbox(es) and your BlackBerry.

Now we just need to ship it! We aren’t far. We had built it…used it and wanted to really make something more powerful, so we kept developing. Now we are getting close…so not too far away.

    Thanks for your post.

  3. Wow, will be a very impressive feat if they can pull off a well-integrated UI. Looking forward to checking it out!

  4. So is this its own address book, or does this app work together w/ our BB address/contact book?
