BlackBerry Messenger Outage Finally Over – Avatar & Contact Backup
We told you about the BlackBerry Messenger outage happening since Nov 1st and we got confirmation this morning that the outage is supposedly resolved according to RIM. The crazy part is that it took RIM more than three and a half days to resolve the issue. It looks like a reboot may be in order to get everything up and running. Check out the full details below:
Impact: BlackBerry subscribers may be unable to view, update avatars or retrieve backup contact lists using BlackBerry Messenger 5.0. BlackBerry subscribers will still be able to send and receive messages, and add new contacts using BlackBerry Messenger.
"Note: The Subscribers Affected % is under investigation. An update will be provided in 48 business hours."
