You did what I could not do, stick with the 8320. I couldn't get to the 8900 fast enough, which is been great. I bet you will qualify for a full upgrade for the 9700, not just a partial update credit like me :P

Don't get me wrong, 8320 when released was the best BlackBerry ever, but that torch not goes to the 9700.

I wish BlackBerry would allow us to push apps from the web to our phones. App World is a memory hog when you only have 64 MB to work with like I do on my 8320. I keep installing and uninstalling it to make space. The 9700 can't come soon enough.

Well, that wasn't it. Within 1.1.0.23 App World itself is still listed as #5 on the Top Free downloads list.

Since I updated my 8900 to OS 5.0, AppWorld would disappear after every reboot. This new version so far hasn't disappeared after a reboot, so that might be what his version is intended to fix. Anyone else?

Funny, my 4.7.1.57 Tour was running 1.1.0.20 and from within App World itself I was told that's the latest and not offered an upgrade. Same on my 5.0.0.328 Storm.

I thought I had read (BlackBerry Blog I think) that what this update does is make App World itself no longer appear on the Too Free list.

So App World and Facebook lately have both bricked your Berry? Man, talk about bad luck!

Hey RIM, your OWN APPS brick the phone of an experienced BlackBerry geek, and you wonder why users AND developers stay away from the BlackBerry platform for its unfriendly nature?

From my BlackBerry Storm...
