FlyCast Opening Their Platform To Mobilize Other Streaming Websites
FlyCast let me know that they have announced a new ADdapt (Application Development and Deployment) Platform which is a pretty cool idea. It lets other websites with streaming audio and video quickly deploy a mobile application to provide their content to BlackBerry devices along with Apple and Android solutions.
That is a pretty cool service and I can see a few companies interested in such a branded solution. This would open the door for content providers to monetize this mobile content with ad insertions and featured up-sell and premium content.
Their first partner will be Al Bell Presents – a collection of the former president of Motown’s favorite soul, R&B, blues and gospel hits – which will be mobile accessible through FlyCast’s technology. This could lead to quite a few more traditional desktop streaming sites going mobile.
