Verizon BlackBerry Storm2 9550 Officially Announced – Oct 28th Release!

Verizon-storm2-official Verizon just made quite a few of their customers happy with the announcement of the Verizon Storm2. They announced that it will be released on Oct 28th which is in TWO DAYS! It will be available online, at Verizon stores, and through business channels at the same time. They also took the time to make the OS 5.0 updates for the original BlackBerry Storm 9530 official.

The BlackBerry Storm2 smartphone will retail for $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract with a voice plan with a BlackBerry plan or just a plain BlackBerry standalone plan. The rebate will be given in a Verizon debit card.

PS: Anybody else notice that they do not mention the 9550 moniker anywhere in the announcement?
