You're saying that Bell and Telus are adding HSPA to their existing CDMA/EV-DO networks? I'd be interested in reading some technology write-ups on how to deploy HSPA on EV-DO. Can you point me to some source data?

Hmmm. Bell and Telus are not releasing a gsm network. They are simply adding HSPA to their existing network and trying to fill the gaps where their province partners have opted not to follow their lead and go with Rogers.

Telus and Bell have a chance here to really kick Rogers in the gonads on this device. Rogers seems to be taking their standard road with $300 for the device even on 3 year contract. Considering the Storm2 is going for free on Vodafone UK, you have to wonder how much longer carriers can get away with crazy device pricing. Telus and Bell could pick up a LOT of BB users for their new GSM networks with aggressive 9700 pricing.
