I decided to give it a spin when I was checking my email and realized that this application is SLICK! Within seconds of installing my phones contacts, calendar, text messages, and call log were backed up to the mIQ servers. Binnen enkele seconden van het installeren van mijn telefoons contacten, agenda, tekstberichten, en call log waren een back-up van de MIQ servers. It then proceeded to upload my pictures and videos all in the background. Vervolgens ging om mijn foto's en video's uploaden alle op de achtergrond. I already have a BES server backing up most of my information but the extra peace of mind is nice especially in a free application. The app lets you easily update contacts and even send text messages from their website. De app kunt u eenvoudig contacten bijwerken en zelfs sms-berichten versturen vanaf hun website. They do have a interesting Facebook integration where you can set your status but I don't really see the point. Zij hebben een interessante Facebook integratie waar u kunt uw status, maar ik niet echt het punt te zien. I am just amazed at the level of integration that exists though I finally see what Best Buy's stake in the whole deal is. Ik ben gewoon verbaasd over de mate van integratie die bestaat hoewel ik eindelijk zien wat Best Buy's aandeel in de hele deal is. They plan on up selling you a new BlackBerry, accessory, or memory card. Ze zijn van plan op maximaal verkoop je een nieuwe BlackBerry, accessoire, of geheugenkaart. The app even tells you how full your device and SDcard memory are. De app zelfs vertelt je hoe vol uw apparaat en SDcard geheugen zijn.

What truly shocks me about this whole service is how Best Buy can create this while RIM is still struggling to setup contact sync for BIS. Wat echt schokken mij over dit hele dienst is hoe Best Buy kunt dit terwijl RIM nog steeds moeite om contact sync setup voor BIS. Are you listening RIM? Bent u luisteren RIM? Regular customers also want OTA sync (or at the very least a backup) of their information! Regelmatige klanten willen ook OTA sync (of op zijn minst een back-up) van hun informatie!

    I tried it yesterday myself, and have the following concerns: Is this going to be like Facebook who said any content uploaded to their serves now belongs to them forever? Ik probeerde het gisteren zelf, en hebben de volgende punten: Is dit gaat worden zoals Facebook, die zei alle content geupload naar hun bedient nu behoort aan hen voor eeuwig? I'm kind of cautious about uploading my videos and photos to Best Buy. Ik ben soort van voorzichtig over het uploaden van mijn video's en foto's bij Best Buy. Also, when I sync all my contacts, am I not topping-up Best Buy's db on potential customers? Ook toen ik al mijn contacten synchroniseren, ben ik niet topping-up Best Buy het db op potentiële klanten? Seems like my friends could start getting spammed. Het lijkt erop dat mijn vrienden kon beginnen krijgen spammed. Thirdly, i changed my preferences to upload no photos or videos, and only media over Wifi, yet over EDGE yesterday my videos kept getting uploaded, against my will. Ten derde, veranderde ik mijn voorkeuren geen foto's of video's uploaden, en alleen media via Wifi, maar via EDGE gisteren mijn video's steeds weer geüpload, tegen mijn wil. I turned my phone off to prevent it. Ik draaide mijn telefoon uit te voorkomen. I can't say I 100% trust this service now. Ik kan niet zeggen dat ik 100% vertrouwen deze service nu.

    Nikolaus, I have had similar issues. Nikolaus, ik had soortgelijke problemen. I have been using this software for a few weeks now. Ik gebruik deze software nu een paar weken. A couple of things, manual sync does not seem to stop the software from syncing the content so it results in 2 things: constant syncing with their servers, and a phenomenally speedy drainage of battery (36 hours without it running to less than 6 hours with it running in the background). Een paar van de dingen, geen handmatige synchronisatie niet te stoppen met de software van synchronisatie de inhoud, zodat het resulteert in 2 dingen: constante synchroniseren met hun servers, en een fenomenaal snelle afvoer van de batterij (36 uur zonder lopen tot minder dan 6 uur met zij op de achtergrond). I have complained to their support about this already.     I hesitate to use any such “cloud” service for the same reasons I refuse to buy DRM'd music. Ik aarzel om een dergelijke "cloud" service te gebruiken om dezelfde redenen die ik weigeren DRM'd muziek kopen. IF they “take their server and go”, where does my data go? INDIEN ze "nemen hun server en gaan", waar komt mijn gegevens gaan? And are my contacts going to happy with me if their info is involved in a data breach at some service? En zijn mijn contacten gaan blij met mij als hun info is betrokken bij een inbreuk op de gegevensbeveiliging op een dienst?
    I will stick with S4BB's DataBackup (backs up to SD card only) for now, combined with DM and BBSAK device backups to my PC. Ik zal stick met DataBackup (S4BB's een back-up op een SD kaart alleen) voor nu, gecombineerd met DM en BBSAK apparaat back-ups op mijn PC.

    not true for those of you interested. niet voor die van u geïnteresseerd. Text Messages do not sync up when you install the software and the only ones that will be “syncable” are ones that are initiated/recieved while mIQ is installed and running. Tekstberichten niet synchroniseren wanneer u de software installeert en de enigen die zullen worden "syncable" zijn degenen die zijn geïnitieerd / recieved terwijl MIQ is geïnstalleerd en actief. The development team stated this in a forum post on cb. De ontwikkeling team verklaarde dit in een forum post op CB.

    I tried to use the app with bold, but the thing is every time i tried to sync it, it always prompts login pop-up over and over again. Ik heb geprobeerd om de app met vet, maar het ding is elke keer dat ik probeerde te synchroniseren, is het altijd gevraagd login pop-up over en weer. Data never uploaded to server, check the website from PC just now. Gegevens nooit geüpload naar de server, kijk op de website van de PC alleen maar nu.
