Air Canada enjoys being on the mobile friendly side of the airline industry. They are trialing everything from digital boarding passes to WebSignals to their mobile website. Their latest update is a new BlackBerry app that is free to users giving customers quite a bit of information about their flights.

Features in the new personal travel companion are:

  • MY FLIGHTS - Keep track of all your Air Canada flights from a single location. Use your BlackBerry Menu button to refresh flight status, check-in or sign up to Flight Notification.
  • MY MESSAGES - A single location for all your Flight Notifications that you have registered to and links to your Electronic Boarding Passes as they become available.
  • CHECK-IN - Access Air Canada Mobile Check-in to select your seat, retrieve your electronic boarding pass and more.
  • FIND FLIGHT - Find and track any Air Canada or Jazz flight by flight number or arrival and destination cities. Use your BlackBerry Menu button to add flights to My Flights, sign up to Flight Notification or Check-in.
  • MORE - Book flights using your Flight Pass, access convenient travels links and more.
  • MY SETTINGS - Personalize your Air Canada App to reduce typing, send Flight Notifications based on your preferences and set up your My Messages inbox for an integrated travel experience.

You can find the app in the App World at this link or directly at mobile.aircanada.com
