T-Mobile to Offer UMA Wi-Fi Plans for Corporate Users
T-Mobile has become quite popular with their UMA Wi-Fi calling plans that let consumers make calls over Wi-Fi or opt for a plan for unlimited calls over Wi-Fi. I did not know that companies were not eligible for this plan but it looks like T-Mobile is slowly opening the door for them. It looks like larger customers will get the service free while smaller customers will have to pay per line for it.
This move might actually make RIM’s Mobile Voice System a little more relevant but still I really think companies are looking for a true VoiP solution from RIM not one that relies on carriers. Especially since only T-Mobile offers UMA in the states…
