BBOSalert Beta Application for BlackBerry

Capture on 09-30-2009 22-32-05You know most of  you hardcore BlackBerry addicts can’t wait to get your hands on the latest OS out there for your Berry; I know I sure do & usually the first to install them. I am currently a testing a new application that promises to alert you when a new OS has been leaked or official release. This should be something RIM should implement more efficiently, except for the leaks off course we know that will never happen but until then this is the closest thing to it. The application is currently in private Beta stage, meaning you have to be accepted to test them out and if you are an 8520 owner you are just in luck as I hear they are looking for some one to help test and provide feedback.

Going back to the application, it is simple to use and set up, it lets you pick which devices you want to be notified when a new OS is available whether it is a leak version or an official release. It also lets you select to be notify for more than one device, this is nice because quite a few of you may have more than one BB. The application itself is sleek & organize and once a new OS has been found you get an alert letting you know what OS is available and where it can be found. This will sure keep you up to date on your quest for new OS anytime anywhere without having to waste time browsing the net for them. To become a BBOSALERT Beta tester go to & send a request, that does not guaranty you will be chosen but it is worth a try. We do have 10 invites for you so the first 10 leave a comment below will be contacted to be a part of the beta testing.

  21. How about #21 😀

  22. Why not email them and ask? I send an email, fingers crossed. 🙂

  23. I’ve left a message with them in case they’re listening there. Also following them on Twitter.

It WOULD take all the fun out of reaching for the ‘berry in the middle of the night and looking here on BerryReview, tho’, wouldn’t it? 🙂

If you could score an invitation this way, I’d appreciate it.

  24. This is an awesome app and would totally love it. I agree with the post would be nice if RIM incorporated something like this for official versions.

Either way AWESOME so would want to beta test.

  25. Emails have been sent to the first 10 that made a comment, thank you if you don’t see it please check your spam box as well.

  26. Great app. I use another way to get realtime updates: I search for the string “blackberry os 5.0.0” on Twitter (through SocialScope) and monitor when a new version comes out 🙂

  27. Gotta love twitter for that! 🙂 that’s a very creative idea
