Premium themes for the BlackBerry 8520

The recently released BlackBerry 8520 had not received as much love as other devices from theme developers. This week I got an 8520 to see what the trackpad is like & I must say within 2 minutes I was used to it. I love how it feels and handles while scrolling & the fast response.  Getting a new the device you first want to customize it, but when I search the net for some cool themes to my surprise hardly any themes out there available for it. I contacted Jennifer for www.coolblackberrythemes.com and sure enough she has already worked on some themes for the 8520.

She has both Premium & Free themes for this device & thanks to Jennifer I got to try a few cool looking themes on her site. Also I must say she does some great themes & quite a few are geared towards the ladies with Berry’s so check them out.

One of her premium themes that I really like is the PalmBerry because it just looks sharp & It has the Today plus icon for the calendar which I am big fan of Today plus styled themes, they help keep track of important dates.

The theme’s background is the Palm Pre wallpaper which gives it a bright crisp look to it, and the big icons easy to see. On the home screen you have a Today plus calendar Icon wit 5 events and at the bottom you get six configurable icons that bounce from the bottom up when you scroll to them letting you know which icon you are currently scrolling through.  Another thing that I like about this theme is that all the 3rd party apps are on the main screen not places in the download folder, because I usually end up moving them all back to the home folder.

Jennifer has some cool seasonal & Holiday themes, such as the new Halloween theme specially since the holiday is coming up and you can give your berry a Halloween look.

The theme features 6 configurable icons in the home screen with a pumpkin as a background, and it just gives it that Halloween/Fall look to it with its blend of yellow & orange colors.
