vringo-betaVringo let me know that they have recently updated their beta for the BlackBerry Bold. They have also released beta versions for the BlackBerry 8900 Curve and BlackBerry 9630 Tour. As a reminder Vringo is a app that plays video ringtones which is in public beta.

They received quite a few downloads of their beta numbering in the thousands which is pretty impressive. To thank beta testers they have a special gift which includes up to 3 free Marvel Entertainment video ringtones by following the instructions below. The code is valid until September 29 and is sadly only good for users in North America.

  1. Visit http://vringo.marvel.com on your PC, log in with the phone number and password you signed up with and click on “Have a Promotion Code?” at the very bottom right corner of the screen. (If you’re new to Vringo, click on the link within the registration box.)
  2. Type in VRINGOHEARTSBETATESTERS and you’ll get 3 free clips of your choice. Pick the ones you want, send them to your phone and then sync your Vringo application to get ‘em!

You can pick up the latest beta version of Vringo at beta.vringo.com
