I was talking about launching some applications from KBLauncher. That's a known API limitation.

DonGato, I have a new Blackberry 8900 and run Google Talk IM on it just fine! Have had no problems at all with it, very functional and much better than BB Messenger. I also have Yahoo IM and Live Messenger installed, both of which perform very well.

That makes sense but it wasn't explained here (the article) and it didn't get my attention either at the store page description. Immediately bought it when I realized the convenience key usage (by going to your site and reading a while). Many thanks!

It was funny that I got some nice extra information from your site about your experience with the platform and app world. Keep the good work!

A shame I can't run Google Talk IM app with it. Damn RIM! :P

Not sure I understand the problem, DonGato. The idea is that you would have a convenience key set to KBLauncher so you can start it from anywhere. I would not want to keep an app resident, eating up memory without doing anything.

Tried it and was going to buy it but then realized it's not a resident app you can call from anywhere. 80% of its use was gone by not providing that.

I prefer QuickLaunch, a complete app for this task. And bring more features (ScreenShot, Reset Device, Launch SMS, Call, etc)

It's a great app. I still most often default to just searching because I'm not remembering it's installed, but when I'm in a time crunch and I do remember, I just hit my convenience key and boom.
