i tried conjola sync , it worked for 2 way sync on my first bb phone 8800 , and i got all contacts from my gmail account ,but it didn’t work on my second bb phone 8820 . i guess it is something they enabled in this software that if you sync from a gmail account to one device , it doesn’t sync to another device from the same account ……. i guess

I have the same major complaint, that emails read on the web don’t get marked as read on the BB. Am I wrong in assuming that when they roll out two way Gmail sync that will definitely fix this?

The details are a little vague on what exactly is encompassed in this concept of “two way sync”, anyone have any thoughts?

This is a small improvement. I need my inbox on the BB to be a mirror image of my gmail inbox. Items are not automatically marked as unread on the BB. For now I will stick with the old Gmail for Mobile app…

One thing that bugs the heck out of me…BlackBerry is known first and foremost as the king of mobile e-mail solutions. We could all list many reasons that make other devices “better” than a BlackBerry (or equal to), but, even the most biased fanboy’s of other devices will concede e-mail on a BlackBerry is second to none when combined with BES.

Unfortunately, most of us are not on BES…We use accounts like hotmail and gmail and we don’t have true 2-way synchronization or usable folders. It almost makes IMAP pointeless on my device… If this doesn’t drive you nuts consider yourself lucky.

This is a step in the right direction, to say the least! I look forward to this change with my gmail account as it is my primary account. Way to go Google and RIM. This functionality is far overdue. I just hope that there isn’t a tremendous delay in the sync process…
