Space Invaders Coming to BlackBerry – Classics Returning?
With Pacman coming back for free thanks to Benny Chow I have been growing a bit nostalgic. Back in the day games were simpler and quite a bit more addictive. I remember wasting hours playing space invaders back in the day and it looks like Taito is planning on porting the official game to BlackBerry soon.
This prompted me to check it there was a current knockoff of the game for some quick fun. Turns out there are two similar games with one of them being practically spot on.
- The first is Invaders! by Link Two the game is really on the low end of the graphics totem pole but plays quite nicely. At $3.99 its a pretty good deal.
- Space Ace by MLH Software was quite a bit more fun in my opinion and priced better at $2.99. In this game you fly a close replica to the Enterprise and the up scrolling screen hurls you towards invaders. Classic shoot-em up game.
Let me know if there are any other classic shoot-em up games that I missed! I am always looking for some quick fun on the go.
