iDrive Lite: Free OTA Contacts Backup Service
Since Picasa Web Albums failed in properly backing up my videos I have been in the market for a new backup solution. I have been keeping a keen eye on SugarSync and Mozy but I did come across iDrive Lite when I was searching and thought it was definitely worth mentioning. There are quite a few contacts backup solutions available currently but not many are free. I guess iDrive is trying to get you hooked so you buy their desktop solution but it worked quite well.
The contacts backup did not seem to backup every piece of information on the contact but it worked like a charm for the basics. The app can:
- Restore all - Restores all your backed up contacts without overwriting them.
- Selective restore - Restores only selected backed up contacts to your BlackBerry.
- Restore contacts from another device – Allows you to restore contacts from another device like iPhone to BlackBerry.
