Wow what a week/end in leaked OS for BlackBerry users everywhere. Today Brett from www.BlackBerryOS.com and Morrison send us in a tip that OS 5.0.0.191 for the Blackberry storm 9530 has been leaked.  You can pick up the files at the following links:

Download from Megaupload by clicking here

Download from Megaupload #2 by clicking here
Download from Rapid Share by clicking here

Download without Rim tools by clicking here

If you do not know what RIM internal tools are you can simply go to your control panel on your pc and look for a separate file listed under the program files and remove it before the OS upgrade and you should be good to go.

Note: Do this upgrade at your own risk because it may render your device unusable if you are not familiar with OS upgrades, this is a Beta OS and not an official release.

  5. Installed and I am in love… No need to get the Storm 2! Besides Facebook everything else works great. That I use it for anyways. Touch accuracy and speed overall is waaaay better. Flick to scroll like iphone as well.

Making a call is a lot better. Use to have issues with the # pad.

  10. I installed 5.0.0.230 two days ago and it is VERY NICE. Basically, it’s a hybrid upgrade (you must have .191 already installed on your Storm before you can upgrade to .230). It is just like .191, but has fixed the camera issue. I found mine on BBOS site. I successfully took some pix with my Storm, and was able to email them to my family. Great software, but still BETA! Don’t expect everything to run smoothly. My Storm rebooted on its own this morning, for instance… Don’t expect it to be perfect! Still MUCH BETTER than official 4.7 release by Verizon! I don’t want to go back!!!
