Twixtreme – Free BlackBerry Twitter Client that Doesn’t Suck? You Tell Me…

search DavidH let us know that there is a new Twitter client in town. Twixtreme is pitching themselves as the free Twitter client that does not suck. Not sure if I can agree with them since I am still waiting for RIM to release a Twitter client but it does look good. It works on OS 4.2.1+ so that is pretty nice.

It supports pictures, re-tweeting, favorites, direct messages, profiles, search, and more. If you are an avid Twitter user it is worth checking out at www.twixtreme.com.

Let me know what you think!

  1. When I heard about this app I was excited, but I don’t like that it has no customization, I can only get 2 tweets on the screen at one time #bold. If they add that I may switch from ubertwitter….still waiting for an invite to socialscope tho

Not bad at first sight, but it doesn’t come anyway near Socialscope.

  3. I don’t think it has as many features as uber or ss, but it just has a more twitter-like design.

It’s ok, but not the best.

I reviewed this on BlackBerryOS and had a few issues with it that made it a not so nice app that shows promise. Sent an email to the company asking for support, but haven’t heard anything yet.

  8. Installed on my Nextell 8850i. Crashes. Can’t even enter name in login before it automatically stops and exits. Am using socialscope and think it’s a top shelf app. Kudos to to the socialscope team.

  9. Doesn’t even work for me. All I get is a bird bouncing up and down, then an error message about Twitter. No options apart from “Exit”. I’ll stick with Ubertwitter.

Ooops their wrong, it does suck. It is crude at best. BB 8330 users are better off using the internet browser version. Uber Twitter smokes this app. Don’t waste you time.

Nice looking, but that’s about it. I can’t see what i’m typing on the storm in Landscape and that’s how i like to type. Failed a couple of times on me on login, and on an update. I like how it looks but it’s rough around the edges. They need to also put in some gestures for the storm to get to the top and bottom of tweets.
