Unfortunatly, this wont work.. I don’t personaly see these kind of barcodes in use anywhere interesting.

As a computer/network tech, i use a portable barcode scanner to capture hardware serial number/model numbers of things installed/uninstalled and shipped (capture fedex label too)… having this built into my phone would give me less to carry

I prefer i-nigma on my Sony Ericsson phone. My BB 8820 has no camera so I have no use for a scanner there.

As for the codes themselves: I prefer QR Code to the proprietary variants (Beetag, Microsoft and whatnot). QR Code is proprietary too, but at least its owner, Denso Wave Incorporated, has promised not to exert patent rights over it.

It’s still like that as far as I could figure out. The interface isn’t that great on BeeTag. I like NeoReader a lot better. More user-friendly IMO.

I don’t know if it’s still like this, but I tried this a couple of months ago and if you weren’t reading a code generated from beetagg, it will read it and tell you what it’s for but it won’t actually take your browser to the site. So if you’re reading a code for this website, the URL will show up on the screen, but you have to manually plug it into your browser if you want to go there…
