Coming from the iphone I certainly wasn't going to go to a larger device so that ruled out the Bold. The 8900 didn't seem to offer better features minus the camera....but that is what a digital camera is for....that being said, I chose this because of the trackpad. In one word...AMAZING!! Will never go back to the trackball and love everything about this phone :) I highly recommend it and along with the great deal from Amazon, Walmart is selling currently for 48.88. There is much less (read: hardly any) gap between the LCD screen and the "lens". Granted, its not as crisp as the 89 or 96, but it is still better than 80% of all the other devices on the market.
