Amman let us know in the forums that there is a free app to edit your forwards or replies before you send them from BBerryApps. It is not 100% free but you just need to send a link for the app to a friend to register the application which is pretty painless.
Until now your only solution for editing the contents of a forward or reply you had to purchase Forward with Edit for $2.99. Now you can do it for free. My favorite part is that will automatically download the rest of the message if it is not already on your BlackBerry.
NOTE: The main downside of this application is that you cannot use it with emails that have attachments. For some reason it strips off the attachment but that is also true of Forward with Edit.
You can download the (mostly) free application at this link
This is the email it sends to your friend:
I just downloaded "Forward, Reply and Edit" for my BlackBerryTM Smartphone. Now I can "Forward & Edit" and "Reply & Edit" Emails.
Download, by clicking on: http://bberryapp.com/blackberryapplications/forwardreply/
(from your BlackBerryTM Smartphone)
Note: After installation, click on RUN and follow instructions.
You will find the Forward, Reply and Edit icon in the Downloads folder. For more information on how Forward, Reply and Edit works, or if you have any problems or suggestions visit: http://www.bberryapp.com Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Mine already working. I put APN Settings Enable & put in my APN name. It depends on your carrier. You don’t need to put in username & password, only APN name
