HOT! BlackBerry App World 1.1.0.11 Released – No Change Log (Yet!)

app_world11 Michael let me know that BlackBerry App World 1.1.0.11 has been released. It still says that it is only available in the US, UK, and Canada but its supposed to launch in quite a few more countries by today!

The desktop version of the site is not yet up but let us know what you find in the new version ASAP in the comments! Let us know if it works internationally.

Hopefully this version adds the ability to archive to an SD card. I don’t think that installing to an SD card is supported.

Check it out on your BlackBerry at www.blackberry.com/appworld

Is it me or does the new disclaimer seem to be a lot longer than before? It seemed like it took to long to get to the accept option.

Offered languages are English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. If that gives you any clues where it might soon be available… ;)

Interesting “memory bar” shows how much space left for apps.
Now has Top Paid and Top Free app lists.
Go to My World, scroll to an app on the list, hit menu button and you can choose “Archive”. And it works!

Heads up it features top paid catagories now along side top paid free catagories, it does have the archive save to SD feature which I see as useful, along with a memory bar. I’m still digging thru the added features but it appears to be a major update.

I like it. The old version would get clogged up on its own memory management issues, invoking the dreaded spinning clock pretty easily. This one loads and runs much faster. Way faster.

BTW, here’s to the goof who said only, “It sux”. What the heck kind of feedback is that? Your comment means nothing unless you say why. You’re the online equivalent of a tagger.

  14. I have a Curve 8330 and I’ve been running into some major bugs with this new version. I haven’t had the connection issue, knock on wood, but I do have an issue where my categories won’t load and I also have the huge issue where I can’t download a single app because it says it is not available for my device/carrier. This includes the facebook app which I know my phone supports (for I have it installed)

Those issues are making it impossible to properly use this app.
