Michael let me know that T-Mobile UK has been stealthily pushing out OS 4.6.0.291 for the Bold through desktop manager and through web upgrades. Sadly the standalone installation file is nowhere to be found.
So any UK Bold users out there mind sharing the App Loader files after it downloads? Just zip it up and help us all out.
Hopefully we will just be able to keep an eye out on this link and it will magically show up soon. I am not digging this new way of pushing out OS updates directly to Desktop Manager. It also makes it unwieldy to upgrade a fleet of corporate devices.
Reports also from jungleland on BBForums and al023 on CrackBerry. Photo courtesy of Midnightdraven.

I am not sure about this – is this really 4.6.0.292? I right-clicked on the setup file, called:
9000M_PBr4[1].6.0_rel292_PL4.0.0.155_A4.6.0.162.exe,
…after downloading it, and it says this, for file version:
4.6.0.162A/4.0.0.155P

For product version, it says this:
4.6.0.162A/4.0
Is that an old version? I have 4.6.0.282 on my Bold now.

@Michael
That link has been there for a while now, it is a typo on the site.

I think this is a photoshop or an error. The platform ID matches http://updateservice.t-mobile.net/blackberry/download/folder.do?ref=/services/ftp/proftp/servers/updateservice.t-mobile.net/anonymous/TMUK/freedownload/Devices/RIM+Devices/9000/Handheld+Software+4.6.0+rel+365 which is version .216.
I would think in .292 there would be a newer platform version too…

Carrier only really use a new platform if they have connection or call quality issues

fyi ,
I was having problems with wap streaming, did some upgrades here and
there, using different versions of US and Asia. nothing works till i found this UK patch. I install the patch and walla .. wap streaming works.
dunno what went wrong. I swear, nothing works b4.
tho, funny thing is when u install this update, it says u’re downgrading
from the original firmware 4.6.0.167 (this is what I have decided to keep after several upgrades) to 4.6.0.291 (UK version)
peace,
