Tashanna let me know about this new service in Viigo that supposedly helps you find a taxi. I thought this was the coolest thing since sliced bread until I read the fine print.
Viigo is not helping you at all. They actually are forwarding you to call #TAXI which results in a charge to your cellphone or prepaid phone of anywhere from $1.25 – $1.79! I actually dialed the number for a second before I hung up and realized what was going on. Viigo really should make the disclaimer hidden on the bottom of the page a bit more transparent. They don’t even mention that it is not free in their announcement.
On the other hand if you are willing to pay to be connected to a local taxi and cannot just Google it you can fee free to add this service to your Viigo account. Just add it by going to Local Interest>add channel>Call a taxi. Its a bit too rich for my blood…

Ronen, thanks, well highlight the charge better in the description.
Please note that Viigo does NOT charge any premium over #TAXIs existing rates. We’re simply adding a convenient way to use the service.

No worries Mark. I was trying the service out and only realized after I dialed that I would be charged for the call. I guess the $1.25 will go as a business research expense.
