The BN ebook reader is DREADFULLY SLOW. In the time it takes to load and format an ebook off my 8330′s SD card, I could download the text file from Gutenberg and be on page 50 in a text reader. Meanwhile the BN reader continues to struggle to format for my screen…

Yeah, I was surprised too. Mobipocket is one of my favorite apps for my phone. It’d be nice if Amazon actually tried to leverage it instead of (as it would seem) letting it slowly rot on the vine. I mean, I can hate on iPhone as good as the next guy, but even I have to admit it’s ridiculous that they haven’t developed a read for that platform yet…

Amazon hasn’t rushed to get into this because they own Mobipocket Reader which they’re not even developing for any OS (WebOS, iPhone) in addition to what they have. That’s what I’ve read at least. Hope I’m wrong. Someone chime in if they have any better Intel.

How do I sign in? downloaded and registered at ereader and barnes and noble but still can’t sign in. Any one tried this before?

Does this reader read books in Mobipocket format, and vice versa, does Mobipocket read eReader books?
