pandora1Collin let me know that Pandora was quietly updated from version 1.03 to version 1.10. Collin ferreted out the following new options but let me know if you spot more!

  • Two settings for steaming audio quality
  • Bluetooth option
  • Auto-play on startup
  • Ability to easily switch accounts

You can pick it up OTA by just heading to www.pandora.com from your Berry’s browser or go to www.pandora.com/blackberry from your desktop. If that does not get you the new version try directly OTA at this link.

Very nice – it’s been great watching this application mature and it’s also good to know that the royalty battle has finally concluded in a way that lets Pandora survive.

Does anyone have any idea what the high and low quality options equate to in kbps?

Pandora is available for the following on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, & Verizon. Now why would they not have it in Canada?. Maybe some year.

Did this update also install Slacker on their phone as well? Several weeks ago I defeated Slacker off of my phone. But after this install/update its back on.

  5. At this point I prefer Slacker just because of the caching feature. Streaming just never works for me. I get drops and battery life issues.
